      A look back at the beginning

      The very first large illustration by Jan van Haasteren appeared in 1975, with the drawing Shooting Pool. This print grew into a popular advertising poster and ultimately led to the release of the first jigsaw puzzle in 1980, published by Jumbo. Since then, Jan's puzzles have become a staple in many households.
